2017/2018 Kin Year in Review

Here are just some of the things your local Kinsmen Club accomplished in the past Kin year!

  • Hosted a family campout for members and guests
  • Volunteers our time at the LTRA‘s Ride for Dreams
  • Welcomed several new members to the club!
  • Attended our Fall Leadership Conference
  • Collected 800 pounds of food for the Lethbridge Food Bank during our Trick for Eats campaign
  • Celebrated Kin Canada’s 98th birthday
  • Celebrated the Lethbridge Kinsmen’s 90th birthday
  • Hosted a family Christmas party for members and guests
  • Helped build a shed for the Family Centre
  • Ran 13 fun casinos for corporate business parties and used the proceeds to support local youth!
  • Hosted K-40 (previous Kinsmen) Christmas party to connect with our past
  • Offered a Hal Rogers Bursary to a needy post-secondary student
  • Made a donation to Edenbridge Family Services to purchase Lego for their kids
  • Hosted an incredible Mardi Gras Gala!
  • Gave away $2,370 in our Mardi Gras 50/50 draw
  • Participated in judging the Coalbanks School project fair
  • Attended our Spring Zones
  • Donated to the Leader in Me initiative in local schools
  • We received recognition for our support of the Leader in Me Program in Lethbridge Schools
  • Helped our Coaldale Kinettes with their Ladies Night Out by providing entertainment
  • Hosted 65 Red Roses event in support of CF research
  • Attended District Convention
  • Participated in Project Connect to provide over 100 care packages for the needy
  • Held our most successful Great Strides Walk yet in support of CF research
  • Took plenty of time for fellowship between members. We get together for meals, drinks, BBQs, and to help each other move!
  • Walked Kinsmen Park to perform a needle check (all clear!)
  • Hosted 10 General meetings
  • Hosted 10 Executive meetings
  • Moved the Kin Daddy vest to a new father
  • Cut a cheque to Ready Set Go for $28,000! This purchased 1,200 pairs of shoes

The Kinsmen Club of Lethbridge donates $28,000 to the Ready Set Go back to school fair for the purchase of 1,200 pairs of shoes!
